On 6 May 2025, the ABG Day Southern Cluster event was successfully held at Rivertel Hotel, Teluk Intan, bringing together 40 healthcare professionals from Hospital Teluk Intan, Hospital Tapah, and Hospital Slim River. The event was officiated by Dr. Khairul Baharin, Director of Hospital Teluk Intan, and Dr. Abdul Kadir Rifaei, Head of Pathology, who underscored the importance of continuous professional development in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and point-of-care testing (POCT) protocols. The program featured comprehensive presentations and practical training sessions conducted by experts from ASSB and Radiometer Malaysia, focusing on ABG result interpretation, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance. The initiative aimed to enhance clinical competency, promote adherence to POCT guidelines, and improve patient outcomes. All participants successfully completed assessments and submitted feedback to the Ministry of Health, reflecting the event’s commitment to excellence in healthcare education and collaboration.
